Scholarships & Awards
The following awards are awarded annually by the Curtis High School Alumni Association.

Annual Merrell-Capodanno Memorial Award
Awards $400 to a student who has demonstrated excellence in participation in the areas of school service and government, faculty and fellow student relations, and community service.

Annual Curtis High School Association of Alumni and Friends Awards
Awards $500 to each of four graduating students who have demonstrated excellence in academics through effort and dedication. Only students who have not yet secured scholarships and funding are eligible candidates for this award.

Annual Friends Community Service Award $500
Awards $500 to the student who has demonstrated excellence in community service.

Annual Academic Excellence Award
Awards $500 to the student who has demonstrated excellence in academics.

Annual Four Year Scholarship ($1,000/year)
Awards $4000 to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership and community and school service.

Annual Physical Education Award
Awards $400 to two graduating student, one male and one female, who have demonstrated excellence in physical education.

Annual Journalism Award
Awarded to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in the field of journalism.

Annual Abel R. Kiviat Award
Awards $400 each to two graduating student, one male and one female, who have demonstrated excellence in the discipline of track and field.

Annual Michael H. Heim Language Award
Awards $400 to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in the art of language.

Annual Golf Award
Awards $300 each to two graduating students, one male and one female, who have demonstrated excellence in golfing, academics and citizenship. The candidates must be senior members of the golf team.
Annual Josephine Landes Memorial Award
Awards $400 to a graduating student who has demonstrated excellence in the field of nursing.
In regards to becoming a donor:
- Donations may be made in honor of a particular academic field, athletic discipline or extracurricular activity.
- Donations may be added to the awards listed below.
- CHSAAF is a 501C3 corporation, making any monetary donations tax deductible.
